Getting Started

This is the first major step. You have an Idea (or a lot) and its time to get dreaming! You know you need a space for your bikes, a cozy nook for reading, and maybe a two-person Bath tub (Wink wink).
the next part is teaming up with your ‘builder’, AKA - The peeps that make sh!t happen.

Enter Aspen + Elm.

We are a custom home builder. Just that. We don’t have standard floor plans, a deal on the same kind of flooring. You are totally unique, and so should your home, your pricing, and your project.

So let’s meet up! We’d love to chat and get to know you and your vision inside and out. We’ll do the listening. You do the talking.

Design

At this point, we have a fairly good idea of what you are looking for.
From here, detailed design drawings for your property are presented to get started. Revisions are necessary to get everything to feel and fit just right. So this will require some work. We will walk your lot with you to measure out spaces, Meet you at a coffee shop to talk cabinet colours, send you screen shots while we’re at the dentist… you get it - we’re all in.

A perfect plan is a must. No if, Ands, or buts.
A perfect plan is easy to execute and allows for better costing, better estimates on timing, and more efficient… well.. everything!

Create

Now that we’ve got the perfect plan in hand (fully approved by you). We can get started on the fun stuff.

Let’s dig.

We’ll work through the construction of your home seamlessly with our trades. We will have you INVOLVED as much or as little as you like. We use extra cool software to keep you in the loop no matter where you are.

We are building your home as if it were our own. This means that all steps from construction to quality of materials and finishings are what we would use in our own home. Cutting corners is not our jam.

Throughout construction, there are several mandatory walkthroughs to ensure everything Drawn on paper still feels perfect. If you find something doesn’t feel quite right, heck yes, Lets change it.

This then leads us to the beautiful finale.
